The hotel's rooms were a mix of cozy and clean, with some minor temperature issues. The service was pleasant and welcoming, though not always busy. The location was convenient for various activities, making it a good choice for visitors. Dining options varied from average to excellent experiences. Overall, a comfortable stay with friendly service.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms, although on the smaller side, were excellently appointed, spacious, and extremely clean. The temperature was a bit too warm initially, possibly due to the owners' concern for guests to be warm.

The Grimscote Manor Hotel offers a comfortable stay with lovely little extras. The service is top-notch with friendly and professional staff. The location is excellent for exploring Birmingham and its attractions, though it is next to a dual carriageway. The dining experience provides great value with various options to choose from.

Rooms

The rooms in the new part of the hotel are very comfortable and well-equipped with tea and coffee facilities and toiletries. However, there were some issues like the shower door not closing properly.

My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. While the location was beautiful and well-maintained, the rooms left something to be desired with dusty furnishings and inconsistent water temperature. The service was mostly good, but there were some issues during check-in. The dining experience was great overall, with delicious homemade bread, although some improvements could be made. The facilities were in good condition overall.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms at the end of the corridor on the ground floor were a bit disappointing. They were dusty and furnished with outdated furniture, giving off a vibe similar to my grandma's house. I also had to run the hot water tap for a long time to get tepid water. The lack of towel rails to hang wet towels was inconvenient, and the lighting over the washbasin was too dim with no shaving mirror.
Service
7.0
The service, especially when returning late from the games, was quite good overall. However, there was a bit of a panic during check-in. The staff, though mostly pleasant, had a quirky way of placing cups on saucers. Despite this, they ensured a clean, comfortable room, with lovely home-cooked food and pleasant service.
Location
8.0
The location of the hotel was excellent, with well-kept surroundings. It's ideal for staying near the NEC in Birmingham, with beautiful paved areas. The setting is perfect for walking the dog and admiring the manor. Kudos to the kitchen and waiting staff for maintaining the area so well.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was mostly enjoyable. Dining in bed was a lovely touch, and the lack of constant inquiries about 'how's everything' was a welcome change. The 'grab & go' option was excellent, and the breakfast with fruits was awesome. The homemade bread was a standout. Some small improvements could make it even better.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were in good condition and well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay overall.
